Long-ish post alert!
With only less than a week untill my birthday, I am sharing where I will be jetting off to this year and a little guide to navigate the city (or just eat and drink your way though it) that I have come to grow so fond of.
This post has been a long time coming, I have been wanting to get to this for too long now and the request for Nashville recommendations has been high, so here we go! Nashville has stolen a piece of my heart so it is only fitting that I spend this years birthday there, the BIG 2 - 1 that is. My parents along with myself and a couple of my girlfriends are heading back to Nash to celebrate in style.
The last two years I attended the CMA festival in Nashville and fell in love with the city. This year I was unable to attend, but I am so excited to be heading back and with the chance to explore the city in a new light outside of the festival setting. Here are some of the must do things on my list, both things I have already done and things on my wish list! Mostly, a list of food with a hint of extra things to do haha .
Below I’m linking the two websites that I looked to the most for Nash travel inspo!
Where To Stay
I have only been to Nashville twice, but both times we stayed at the Marriott Fairfield Inn and Suite in the Gulch and we are staying here again this time!
This hotel is prime location for all you walkers being that it is only about a mile and a half walk. It is right outside of downtown, while giving you the comfort of getting out of the hustle and bustle if you want! Not only is it prime location but the rooftop bar, UP Rooftop, also has one of the best views of the Gulch. Win Win!
Also included is complimentary breakfast and the service here is the epitome of southern hospitality. Can not say enough good things about my stays here. I love the charm of the gulch and honestly can not find a reason to not keep staying here whenever I visit. There is a starbucks within walking distance and on the way to downtown and both Biscuit Love and Milk and Honey are down the street and on the way to Downtown as well.
It’s a one stop shop!
Been There Done That:
Listing all my favorites from my previous visits with some of my must haves/ tips for each spot
You had me at biscuits and gravy. You have to get their Bonuts, straight from the menu the description reads: fried biscuit dough, tossed in sugar, topped with lemon mascarpone, served over blueberry compote. So enough said! I got the “Nasty Princess” last time I was here and chances are I will be revisiting this meal again, it was that good! (warning though it is spicy)
With locations all over the states Jenni’s is popping. They get their fame from their exotic flavors like churro and fluffernutter pie ice cream flavors. There just so happens to be a few locations in Nashville and it is worth the stop for a sweet treat to cool down in the Tennessee heat. I had the blueberry lemon and it was so yum!
Stop here for some chicken fried chicken or southern fried chicken. This is the place to go for that authentic southern style home cooked fried chicken we all know and love and can’t wait to sink our teeth into. Almost anyone you run into in Nashville will send you to Puckets, including me!
This bridge will take you right from downtown over to the Nissan Stadium but all you need is to stop in the middle and enjoy the view. Snap some pictures and look out over the river, day or night this is a great spot to walk and enjoy the scenery.
The cutest little breakfast and brunch spot located in the gulch. With a coffee and juice bar this is the perfect spot to stroll to in the morning and get a pick me up if you're in the area. I usually stay in the gulch so this is perfect walking distance for me.
A traveling flower truck, that makes the most beautiful bouquets! Some of my all time favorite pictures are in front of this truck from my last trip to Nashville and I can't wait to find it again. It is always on the move so be sure to check their instagram and their schedule on their website to find out their location for the day.

I have been to the Husk in Charelston SC, and LOVED IT!
We have reservations to go here for a late lunch one day, so I am excited to try this location!

From Nashville or already been? Let me know your favorite spots and must go places the list can never be too long! Hope this gets you started on your next trip to Nashville Loves, or maybe it gets you thinking about all the yummy reasons why you should book a trip to Nash now haha.
Lots of Love to You all, till next post
And cheers to my first travel post on the blog
